Welcome to the 1st Knottingley Boys' Brigade Company website. Our BB Company meets at Ropewalk Methodist Church and caters for boys and young men aged 5-18. It is part of the oldest uniformed Christian Youth Organisation in the world! We hope you enjoy looking around the site and finding out about the 1st Knottingley Company and all the activities that the boys take part in :)

About The BB

The Boys' Brigade is a Christian uniformed youth organisation for boys and young men, founded in 1883.
It now operates in over 60 countries world-wide, reaching out to young people as effectively as ever, through exciting activities and a challenging programme.

The Object

The advancement of Christ's kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, Self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness

The Motto

Our Aims

• To advance Christ's Kingdom among boys.
  
• To prepare boy's for life in the family, the workplace and the wider community.
  
• To teach boys how and when to "lead" and how and when to "follow".
  
• To promote a positive blend of individualism and team playing vital to society.
  
• To encourage boys to give back to the community in which they live.
